Neck/Stem characteristics

The Standard ABG™II

Characteristics

  • Material: TMZF™ Alloy - Further improves stress transfer to the proximal femur over conventional TiAl6V4 alloy

  • Correct Anteversion

    - the 5° anteversion of the neck and the 7° anteversion in the stem’s metaphyseal portion help the implant follow the femur’s natural form

  • Decrease in distal diameter

    - Avoid excessive diaphyseal reaming (optimal conservation of diaphyseal bone)
    - Decrease proximal stress-shielding (ensure  healthy bone is maintained)
    - Minimise risk of thigh pain (prevents distal cortical  contact even for narrow canals)

  • Polished Reduced Distal Stem

    -
Prevents bone ongrowth on distal part
    - Reduces risk of stress-shielding

  • 8 Stem sizes – left and right implants (see range)
