Titanium bars are prepared to get a blank shape. The blanks are heated in a furnace to the appropriate temperature and then stamped flat several times. The forging dies (made in house too) will form the correct shape of the stem, including the scales on each side. The forging operations are performed with respect to the intrinsic properties of the TMZF™ material. The forging step and heat treatment will give the stem its mechanical characteristics. The properties of the titanium are checked in our internal laboratory on a regularly basis.
