Neck characteristics





The ABG™II modular

Neck material

The neck is made of GADS Vitallium® a proprietary CoCr alloy that Stryker has developed. GADS stands for Gas Atomized Dispersion Strengthened.

Neck modularity

  • The range is composed of 10 reversible necks

  • 18 different head centers with heads size 0
    -> Combined with heads sizes -5, -4, -3, -2.7, +3, +4, +5

  • The neck CCD angles are 135° for the valgus neck, 125° for the varus neck

  • The anteversion variations are either 19° for the anteverted neck, 5° for the retroverted neck

  • For each position it is to be noted that different head length options remain available

  

The following conversion tables show the implications in term of offset and leg length of each option (with a 0 head). These figures have been calculated assuming a reference base as shown in the illustration below.
