Stage 1

A word from Lionel Baron, Stryker Benoist Girard General Manager

"I have been managing the company Stryker Benoist Girard since 1990, commencing at a time that coincided with the launch of the ABG prosthesis.
That is why I am so passionate about this product, which incidentally, is the only product to bear the name of the company: “Anatomique Benoist Girard”.
The prosthesis was designed by our research & development department and a group of French surgeons, who I have the utmost respect for.
Due to its innovative characteristics and good clinical results, the ABG has rapidly emerged as a “reference” product, spreading throughout France and across the rest of Europe.
Our plant, which employs 300 people, is located close to Caen. The ABG implants and instruments are manufactured using the most advanced technologies. In particular, the powerful forging machines with which we forge the raw material and so allow us to control the quality of the product right from the beginning of the manufacturing process.

The ABG stem and cup are now sold in more than 30 countries worldwide and in order to support this volume of demand, we have had to create a manufacturing cell totally dedicated to ABG and its production. The cell includes state of the art robots and CNC machines, but above all employs men and women who are highly motivated and committed to achieving the highest quality standards at every step of the manufacturing process.
You are very welcome to visit our plant and see for yourself how each member of the staff, whatever position they hold, is so passionate about achieving an excellent result. You will see in our eyes how proud we are to deliver such a special product line to our customers and partners : our surgeons. This product line continues to improve the health and lives of patients. It is the ABG."
